Tonight’s game has officially been suspended!

Game resumes July 27

The game tonight between the East Division-leading Glens Falls Golden Eagles (24-7) and the fourth-place Watertown Wizards (13-18) has officially been suspended due to rain.

The game, which was called before the start of the bottom of the third, has tentatively been rescheduled for Monday, July 27 at 7 p.m. The game was tied 0-0 and will resume with the No. 9 hitter, Pepito Moreno (Pima C.C.) at bat. Dennis Hill (Rutgers) is pitching for the Wizards.

Out of seven scheduled games this season, the Golden Eagles defeated the Wizards in five games and outscored them 18-9 in their five wins.

In the last two games between Glens Falls and Watertown at East Field, the Golden Eagles won both of them with a pinch-hit, walk-off hit.

Glens Falls next plays the Mohawks on Saturday in Amsterdam and return to East Field for a 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, against the last-place Albany Dutchmen (7-17).

Golden Eagles Finally Return East Field

Glens Falls finish 3-2 on the road trip, suffer three rainouts
The Glens Falls Golden Eagles Return home tonight to East Field after extended road trip.

The Golden Eagles (19-6) take on the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs tonight at East Field in a doubleheader beginning at 5pm, with the second game beginning 30 minutes after the completion of game one.

The Golden Eagles will host the secondnd place Amsterdam Mohawks on Saturday and Sunday.  Game time for Saturday is a 7pm start (not 1pm as the Post Star has reported) and 4pm on Sunday.

Tonight is “Rally Cap for East Field,” sponsored by WCKM Radio. Sunday’s game will be free haircut night.

Be sure to come out to East Field and see your No. 22 nationally ranked Glens Falls Golden Eagles of the New York Collegiate Baseball League  in action.  It is great baseball right in your own BACKYARD!

Doubleheader Delayed

The Glens Falls Golden Eagles scheduled road-doubleheader against Watertown Wizards, which was supposed to start at 1 p.m., has been pushed back an hour due to wet field conditions.
First-pitch for the first game now expected at 2 p.m., with the second game beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion game one. Both games of the twin bill will be seven innings.
Glens Falls holds a 3-1 in doubleheader this season, including a two-game sweep over Watertown last week. On the road this season, the Golden Eagles have yet to defeat the Wizards.
