Complete-games are nothing new for Jamie Storey (Houston Baptist).
A two-time Golden Eagles pitcher and first-year pitcher for the Houston Baptist Huskies, Storey picked up his third win when he tossed his second complete game of the 2010 season.
Storey, who pitched a two-hit, seven-inning shutout back in March, retired 35-of-37 batters he faced, walked none, and struck out the final two hitters en route the Huskies 9-4 win over the New York Institute of Technology Bears.
On the season, Storey ranks second on the Huskies pitching staff in innings pitched (44.1) and has walked just 14 hitters and struck out 17. Storey, who transferred from the Midland College Chaps after two seasons, has started eight games for the Huskies in 2010.
The Huskies now hold a 5-3 Great West Conference record and host Stephen F. Austin at Husky Field on April 20.
During the 2009 New York Collegiate Baseball (NYCBL) playoffs, Storey appeared in one game, striking out four and allowed no earned runs in four innings.
As a pitcher for Glens Falls in 2008, Storey started four games and went the distance in three of them. Storey appeared in 13 games that summer, finishing second on the team in ERA (1.47), winning five games and allowing just seven earned runs in 43 innings pitched.
